Seòras Outlander Tour

A typical Outlander tour will consist of a visit to Culloden Moor where Jamie and Captain Jack Randall fought to the death.

We'll also visit the nearby Clava Cairns for the photo opportunity next to the famous standing stones. 

​

A quick drive-by of Culloden House to see where Jamie and Claire did for Uncle Dougal!

Although not part of the Outlander story there is a chance to visit nearby Fort George, very similar in many ways to Fort William which appears in the show. The fort at Fort William no longer exists.

From here we head north to Castle Leod, the real life seat of the Chief of Clan Mackenzie which is called Castle Leoch in the books and on television.

Heading back towards Inverness we stop at Beauly Priory to see where Claire met Maisri the Seer and found out more about her prophecy of Lord Lovat, Jamie's Grandfather, and how he was going to die.

With the prophecy of Lord Lovat having being fulfilled perhaps it is fitting we should visit The Fox's burial site at Wardlaw Mausoleum and find out more about his grisly end.

Depending now on the weather and people's mobility there is a chance to visit the recently uncovered standing stone overlooking Inverness which Diana Gabaldon has said fits the narrative much better than the one at Clava

Then finally we head into Inverness to visit some of the places which feature in the Jacobite Uprising.
